Mahindra Bolero Power Plus is one of the oldest and famous MUV’s in Mahindra’s portfolio. It is also been a consistent leading utility segment in terms of sales for the past 7 years. In 2000, Bolero launched with much better consumer tastes and changing times. Currently, the Mahindra Bolero Power Plus offers the perfect blend of intriguing interiors, well-refined power mill, and advanced technical features. This MUV comes with three different versions namely top-most models ZLX, SLX, and SLE.

All three categories are complying under the BS-IV and BS-III emission norms and up to a maximum of 18 different variants are available for consumer’s use. The entire variants are powered by utilizing the m2DiCR diesel engine with a 2523 cc model to produce a peak torque of 195 Nm and a maximum power of 64 bps. The engine performance is helped with micro-hybrid technology to reduce fuel consumption while the engine is idle (standby mode). With this engine, the MUV offers the best mileage of 16 kmpl over highways (certified by ARAI).

Engine & Transmission

With the help of the m2DiCR 2.5-liter engine, it produces a peak torque of 195 Nm with ranges to 1400 to 2200 rpm and the best power of 62 bhp at 3200 rpm. Bolero Power Plus provides the 15-liter more powerful mHawk engine that can easily 8 bhp power more when compared to the regular variant at 70 bhp and even the torque remains the same. Transmission functionalities are taken care of by its conventional manual transmission with five-speed.

Interior

This variant includes a seven-seat layout and particularly suitable for a large family. The seats within the vehicle are positioned a little bit low and even the luggage space is utilized to accommodate another two seats at the rear side. It has elementary styling along with chunky dials to use within the console and even dashboard with the wood finish.

Exterior

This butch is characterized by its aggressive styling and in-line with a rugged stance. It has a sporty robust face with its large square-like headlamps brightened with Mahindra grille. It showcases muscular look with skid plate and side skirts added to the bumper. Some outside key elements are flared wheel arches, fat tires, and sporty side graphics. It has a quite basic rear section with mounted spare wheel and minimal styling.

Mahindra Bolero offers a numerous comfort features such as voice messaging system, 12V charging point, rear wiper & wash, remote fuel lid opener, keyless entry, front map utility spaces & pockets, central locking, power windows, power steering, 2nd row seats with centre armrest, demister & heater, and air conditioner.

This SUV is equipped with tires measuring the 215 / 75 R15 model and even alloy wheels are not equipped on any variants.

Braking & Handling

Mahindra Bolero uses the front axle with disc brakes and rear axle with drum units to retard speed.
