Why NEET?
A career in medicine is considered to be one of the most prestigious jobs in the world. The knowledge to save lives and help others lead a better quality life is the biggest perks of a career in medicine. Besides the fat paycheck, medical professionals also enjoy a good social status. In India, to get admission into various medical courses like MBBS, BDS etc, aspirants have to clear the NEET, which is an annual exam.
Competition
However, the seats to these courses are rather limited – at just 60,000 seats for over 13 lakh aspirants, so unsurprisingly, the competition is immense. Furthermore, the number of attempts is limited to nine consecutive attempts, so every attempt that an aspirant gives is incredibly important. Without adequate preparation, the chances of clearing this exam are undoubtedly slim.
Course of Action
Note taking is one of the best methods to learn, this is due to the fact that the eyes, ears, hands, and mind simultaneously coordinate to process and record information. This means that the student is more alert and is able to digest more information than usual. Furthermore, this provides another point of reference for the student to refer during revision. Lastly, time is of the essence during an exam, therefore, it is crucial to plan and strategize how time is best utilized.
