Instead, Health Department will continue to look after these services.

- Patient’s relation with the community will be given prime importance.
- These services offer both group and individual support.
- There is no uniform name for this service. Different states prefer different names.
- Now coming to transition to NDIS, yes, that facility is available in this case.
Primary health networks (PHN)
Next up we are going to look at the primary health networks. These services are available in geographic areas. As far as the number of services offered under this is concerned, government is still deciding on this. It is subjected to changes for the same reason. As far as how these services are delivered, each network comes with their rules. So you have to deal with some discretion. For the same reason, we cannot give a full list at present. Now let’s have a look at the transition rules here. The transition is handled by an organization named PIR.
General Practitioner Healthcare Plan
As the name indicates, here we are referring to a service handled by a General Practitioner. You might walk away with 10 group and 10 individual sessions every year. As far as the billing is concerned, service provider will decide. They can go for bulk-billing if they want. Now it is time for us to take a look at the NDIS transition. Well, this service will not be transitioned to NDIS. This service will be handled by the Health Department only.
